Join the Apex Chamber for the first Lunch & Learn in our 2023 Series Presented by our Premier Series Sponsor: First Bank! This month, we will be discussing workforce development, hiring, and retention. Topics that directly impact business owners alike, and the Apex business community as a whole!
We will hear from a panel of three professionals who will participate in discussions led by our moderator and will also answer any questions attendees may have!
We will hear from Jodi Free of Platinum Business Solutions, Albert Alwang, the Economic Development Director of the Wake County Economic Development (WCED) Department, and Cynthia Liston, from myFutureNC! Our moderator for the event will be Jacob Rogers, CEO of Triangle Community Coalition and Board Chair of the Apex Chamber of Commerce, Board of Directors. Lunch will be provided by the wonderful, Daniel's Restaurant & Catering!
Speaker Bios:
Jodi Free: Serving as President and CEO of Platinum Business Solutions, Jodi provides consulting solutions and operational leadership to domestic and international companies. She is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in providing vast operational insight with over 20 plus years of sucessful human resource, recruiting, operations, business development and training experience across multiple industries.
Albert Alwang: As a key member of WCED's business recruitment and expansion (BRE) team, Albert coordinates all aspects of the business recruitment and expansion process and conributes to the overall BRE strategy. Prior to joining WCED, Albert served as an Economic Development Specialist at the Virginia Tech Office of Economic Development.
Cynthia Liston: Cynthia supports postsecondary transitions, student success, and workforce alignment by conducting thoughtful policy research and by leading systemic and collaborative efforts to improve education and workforce outcomes. She is currently providing facilitative leadership to NC Workforce Credentials through myFutureNC.

Jacob Rogers: Jacob is a results driven and accomplished real estate and government relations executive focusing on increasing market presence and advocacy. He has served as the CEO of Triangle Community Coalition for over 8 years and is a proponent for economic development and strategic planning.
